Summary
The Medi Spa is seeking a skilled Acupuncturist to join our healthcare team. This is a contractor position. The ideal candidate will be passionate about holistic healing and dedicated to providing exceptional patient care through acupuncture treatments.
This is a commission based position ($55 per patient).
Responsibilities
Perform acupuncture treatments on Oncology patients to alleviate side effects of chemotherapy and/or radiation, pain, and other symptoms, and promote overall wellness.
Conduct patient assessments and determine individualized treatment plans.
Collaborate with physicians, PAs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Utilize manual therapies, cupping, dry needling, trigger point therapy, and other techniques to address specific health concerns when appropriate.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Provide education to patients on acupuncture benefits and self‑care practices.
Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 1 year of experience.
Certified by NCCAOM and active license in the state of Maryland.
Qualifications:
Active CPR certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, and physical examinations.
Experience in pain management, particularly in acute pain management.
Familiarity with treating patients across various demographics, including pediatrics.
Excellent patient care skills and bedside manner.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Salary Information
USD $16.00 to $22.40 per hour (commission of $55 per patient, in addition to hourly salary).
