
Veterinary Technician/CVT

We are a privately owned small animal hospital seeking a highly skilled, reliable, and compassionate Veterinary Technician/CVT to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven hands-on experience in surgical assistance and anesthesia monitoring, be confident performing venipuncture and placing IV catheters, and demonstrate proficiency with in-house laboratory equipment and diagnostic procedures. The right individual will possess excellent patient care and handling skills, thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting, and have the ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a genuine commitment to providing high-quality care to both patients and clients are essential for success in this role. Rate of pay will be based on level of experience.
Duties
Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures and patient monitoring
Perform blood draws and laboratory testing
Place and maintain IV catheters
Administer medications and treatments as directed
Maintain accurate medical records
Provide compassionate care to patients and clear communication with pet owners
Experience
Proven veterinary technician experience with a strong background in animal handling, restraint, and clinical support.
Knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy is essential for accurate communication and procedure execution.
Experience with veterinary critical care procedures and laboratory testing enhances your ability to respond swiftly to urgent situations.
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compassionate patient care.
