Job Description
Up to a $5,000 Sign-on Bonus Available

Practices infection control standards and utilizes approved personal protective equipment (PPE) and disinfectant agents. Maintains a properly stocked, organized, and clean room. Completes required documentation for Radiologist support and performs clerical duties, including answering telephones, completing patient records, filing, and scheduling. Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist’s scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition and ensuring patient comfort, safety, and privacy. Obtains and documents patient history and explain procedures. Performs radiology duties in all departments and environments, including OR and Fluoroscopy. Performs all imaging exams using established protocols and operates all equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, monitors, and medical equipment. Uses facility policy for proper identification of patients prior to performing exams and educates patients concerning the exam. Screens patients properly for any contrast allergies and for childbearing age, minimizing radiation exposure to patients, families, and co-workers. Other duties as assigned. Positions patients and equipment and selects technical factors to produce radiographic images meeting Radiologist’s standards in a safe, timely manner. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills to perform scans on patients of all ages, adapting protocols as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure that information is obtained and presented accurately [Required]

Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x‑ray producing equipment, if applicable per facility [Required]

Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals [Required]

Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry [Required]

Able to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment [Required]

Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]

Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]

Associate [Preferred]
