Job Description
The MRI Clinical Scientist will collaborate with medical doctors and physicists at
Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Center , with a focus on research and the evaluation of new medical applications for Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
Your role
The Clinical Scientist will manage important customer research relationships and guide, conduct, and support research and clinical collaborations for Philips Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) systems at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Center.
Be an expert MRI specialist for an assigned technical or clinical application area, build a network in the scientific community and report and advise about new insights and technologies within the Business Unit MR.
Specifically drive clinical co‑creation projects at designated sites to generate transfers of ideas, research prototypes, solutions, and IP for product development and generate evidence to support claims through scientific publications.
Be hands‑on, run Philips MR scanners, perform volunteer and patient scanning and guide the users on Philips scanner capabilities and development tools.
Increase visibility of Philips MR program through lectures and presentations at scientific or professional international conferences as well as involvement in professional organizations.
Assist the larger organization in clinical evaluation reports, white papers and materials to support new product introductions. Support dedicated training courses on research tools and clinical capabilities. Provide guidance in the sales process to luminary customers through broad MR and clinical expertise.
Reporting to the Clinical Science Leader MR you will partner with multiple teams in the market and the global MR Business Unit, including Global Clinical Science and Co‑creation, Marketing, Legal, Sales and global leaders across the company.
You're the right fit if
You have a minimum of a Ph.D. (Required) in Physics, chemistry, biomedical engineering, or other related disciplines.
You’ve acquired a minimum of 3 years' experience post‑PhD focused on MR Physics, MR/Clinical Imaging and Pulse Sequence and Reconstruction Programming, with expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) highly desired.
Your skills include detailed experience in development and advanced applications in a clinical setting for MR Imaging systems.
You’re an independent problem solver, with strong analytical/experimental skills and able to conduct research/set up research studies.
You have excellent communication, teaching, and presentation skills, with proven experience interacting with customers, market colleagues, and other internal stakeholders.
You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation.

We believe that we are better together than a part. For our Office‑based teams, this means working in‑person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full‑time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
This is an Office‑Based role, based at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH.
Pay and benefits
The pay range for this position in Cincinnati, OH is $114,750 to $183,600.
Employees are eligible to participate in a comprehensive Total Rewards program, which includes generous PTO, a 401(k) match of up to 7%, HSA with company contribution, a stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and other benefits.
Other compensation may include an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long‑term incentives.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. You must reside in or within commuting distance to Cincinnati, OH.
