Part-Time / On-Call (Aligned with Service Schedule – After Hours)
Job Summary
The Onsite Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all exhaust hood and grease trap cleaning services performed at the VA facility. This role ensures all work is executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with contract requirements, including scheduling coordination with the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and adherence to NFPA 96 and VA safety standards.
Requirements
Minimum
5 years of experience
in commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning or related field
OSHA-10 (minimum) or equivalent safety training
Experience with
lockout/tagout (LOTO)
procedures
Strong knowledge of
NFPA 96 standards
Ability to supervise field crews and coordinate service schedules
Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
Serve as primary point of contact with the COR before, during, and after services
Coordinate scheduling, access, and escort requirements
Supervise cleaning crews during all service operations
Ensure all systems are properly shut down, cleaned, and restored
Verify compliance with safety procedures, including LOTO and PPE usage
Ensure each exhaust system is fully completed before moving to the next
Conduct on-site inspections to confirm cleaning to bare metal condition
Oversee proper site protection and restoration
Report deficiencies and operational issues identified during service
