
Temporary Kennel Technician

Description
Under general supervision, this position maintains a safe and sanitary facility for all shelter animals, and provides humane handling and care by assuring animals’ nutrition, housing and basic medical needs are met on a daily basis, ensuring that the surroundings for the animals are always clean and sanitized, including kennels, walkways and isolation areas, feeding and watering animals, washing bedding, bowls and toys, transporting animals to veterinarian offices for treatment daily, emptying garbage, and assisting with administrative duties as needed.
Weekend and holiday hours required.
Typical Qualifications
Must possess a valid driver’s license; requires a high school diploma or GED; 1 year of job‑related experience; other requirements include but are not limited to the ability to carry up to 50 lbs short distances and the ability to humanely restrain animals when necessary.
