Position Summary
This role is ideal for an HR professional who is passionate about benefits and enjoys working across a diverse client base. Approximately
90% of this role is dedicated to benefits administration , making it a great fit for someone who wants to deepen their expertise and play a critical role in client success.
You’ll partner closely with HR Business Partners, Payroll, and external vendors to deliver a seamless, compliant, and high‑quality benefits experience.
Lead Benefits Administration (Primary Focus)
Own the day‑to‑day administration of employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, COBRA, and 401(k)
Lead
open enrollment
from start to finish, configuration, communication, and employee support
Conduct
monthly billing audits
and proactively resolve discrepancies
Oversee
COBRA administration
and ensure full regulatory compliance
Support
FMLA and leave tracking
as it relates to benefits eligibility
Serve as a trusted resource for clients and employees, resolving questions with confidence and care
Partner with carriers, brokers, and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
Maintain accurate and clean benefits data within HRIS systems
Deliver Exceptional Client Experience
Provide high‑touch, responsive support across a
multi‑client PEO environment
Interpret and clearly communicate benefits plans, eligibility, and compliance requirements
Support audits, reporting, and ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Collaborate Across Teams
Partner closely with Payroll to ensure
accurate benefit deductions and client billing
Support onboarding and benefits enrollment processes
Work cross‑functionally to ensure a seamless client and employee experience
Maintain strong data integrity and documentation within HR systems
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
PHR, SHRM‑CP, SPHR, or SHRM‑SCP certification is a plus
Experience
3–7+ years of HR experience with a
strong focus on benefits administration
Experience supporting
multiple clients or business units
preferred
PEO, HRO, or broker experience is highly valued
Skills & Qualifications
Strong knowledge of
employee benefits, compliance, and regulations
Experience with
COBRA, open enrollment, billing audits, and leave administration
Highly detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills
Exceptional customer service mindset; you’re responsive, solutions‑oriented, and proactive
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office (PrismHR experience is a plus)
