Role Summary
The Data Entry Technician is responsible for providing excellent customer service and for the accurate and timely billing of compounded preparations based on patient specific prescriptions.
Job Activities and Responsibilities
Data Entry Technician shall ensure accuracy of patient information and receive patient payment.
Check prescriptions for completeness and enter necessary information into the computer to generate a prescription label and invoices (if necessary).
Communicate with prescribers to receive refill authorization and receive patient refills by telephone, directing calls or taking and relaying messages.
Work under the supervision of a pharmacist.
Employee’s departmental manager has the latitude to direct work in any department that hinges on company needs.
Maintain an organized and efficient workspace.
Investigate incidents and/or variances as needed, documenting variances and the resolutions.
Be cross trained to help with large account orders.
Other duties, responsibilities, and qualifications may be required and/or assigned as necessary.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High School Diploma preferred.
Must be a licensed Pharmacy Technician to perform fulfillment or compounding activities.
Excellent work ethic, including a personal drive to excel independently.
Solid PC skills including Microsoft software.
Certified Technician is preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift fifty pounds and move, lift, or carry boxes.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Fine motor skills.
Visual acuity.
