Share this job:Share Instrument Manufacturing Assembler III with a friend via e-mailOur Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesSummary: Assembles plastic, metal, or electronic components to produce pipettes or other small laboratory instruments. The responsibilities are as follows:* Proficiency of Instrument Manufacturing Assembler I and II* Trained and certified in High Throughput equipment.* Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work area and apply 5S principle to workspaces.* Returns all tools and fixtures to the proper location after use.* Follows Company safety policies as outlined in the employee handbook.* Work collaboratively with employees, leads, supervisors, and cross-functional departments.* Perform other duties as assigned. Perform complex mechanical and electromechanical assemblies in accordance with approved work instructions, drawings, and quality standards.* Demonstrate advanced proficiency in instrument manufacturing assembly processes.* Operate and use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and equipment, including torque wrenches, electric screwdrivers, fixtures, and specialized assembly machines.* Assemble products using high-throughput and precision assembly equipment, following established procedures and training requirements.* Properly handle, return, and store tools, fixtures, and equipment after use.* Follow all company safety policies, quality guidelines, and standard operating procedures.* Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during the shift.* Monitor own work to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.* Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations.* High school diploma or general education degree (GED)* Two (2) to four (4) years of mechanical-assembly experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience* Ability to read and interpret written information such as safety rules, assembly instructions, bills of materials, and production schedules.* Ability to write routine reports.* Ability to speak effectively to fellow employees.* Ability to add and subtract numbers and multiply and divide.* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages.* Understands and applies knowledge of job procedures, methods, and commonly used practices.* Demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, neatness, and timeliness.* Monitors own work to ensure quality.* Follows directions with minimal supervision and responds to management and supervisor’s direction.* Consistently meets deadlines.* Comes to work as scheduled and on time.* Responds wells to questions and requests for assistance.* Awareness and adherence to safety policies and procedures.* Medical, dental and vision care coverage and a 401(k) savings plan with company matching – all starting on date of hire* Tuition reimbursement, educational matching gift program, perks and discounts* Parental and caregiver leave programs* All the usual benefits such as paid time off, flexible spending, short-and long-term disability, basic life insurance, business travel insurance, Employee Assistance Program, and domestic partner benefits* Global market strength and worldwide leadership in precision instrumentation* A brand name that is identified worldwide with precision, quality, and innovation* Thousands of patents, design and innovation awards across Mettler Toledo* Global recognition for the quality of our products and servicesPreferred LocationCaliforniaShare this job:Share Instrument Manufacturing Assembler III with a friend via e-mail
