Maintenance Technicians are responsible for maintaining, repairing, and inspecting park rides, attractions, and related equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. This role focuses on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, construction, and rehabilitation of rides and facilities while maximizing uptime and minimizing operational disruptions.
Technicians play a critical role in supporting guest safety and park operations by adhering to manufacturer specifications, park standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain the highest safety standards across all rides and attractions
Perform daily safety inspections on rides and attractions and address repairs as needed
Water Park: Perform regular checks of pools and chemical adjustments to ensure a safe environment that complies with health and safety standards
Complete preventative maintenance, repairs, overhauls, and rehabilitation of rides, equipment, and facilities in compliance with manufacturer specifications and park standards
Respond promptly to maintenance-related radio calls and communicate equipment issues, downtime, or closures to Dispatch and Maintenance leadership
Work collaboratively with maintenance team members to ensure consistent compliance with safety and operational standards
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection records, and required documentation
Communicate hazards, safety concerns, or repair needs to the Maintenance Supervisor and Director of Maintenance
Assist other maintenance teams with projects as needed
Serve as a proactive, safety-focused member of the maintenance team
Must be available to work Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays
Perform additional duties as assigned
Skills, Requirements & Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older
Prior maintenance experience required; amusement park or attractions experience preferred
Valid Washington State driver’s license required
Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, pumps, filtration, and drainage systems; welding skills a plus
Water Park: Must be comfortable performing duties in water at a depth of up to 12 feet
Ability to troubleshoot problems and identify effective solutions
Ability to interpret written instructions, diagrams, schedules, and technical documentation
Strong communication skills with guests, coworkers, and management
Self-starter with the ability to multitask, work independently, and maintain a positive attitude
General math skills, including basic algebra and the ability to read measurements

Physical Demands & Work Environment
This position requires working outdoors for the majority of each shift , with exposure to varied weather conditions , including heat, rain, wind, and cooler temperatures
Extensive walking throughout the park, including multiple flights of stairs, hills, uneven terrain, and occasionally slippery surfaces
Ability to stand, walk, and work on feet for extended periods
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
Occasional climbing or balancing at heights
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly
Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Noise levels may range from moderate to high
