Responsibilities
Form and shape material.
Operate lathes, drill presses, mills, routers, grinding machines, duplicating, and profile machines.
Include machinists, machine operators, and apprentices in the workflow.
Work from drawings and written instructions to create replacement and new parts, making repairs to metal parts.
Use basic knowledge of various metals and measurements employed in machining processes.
Perform housekeeping of machine and work area.
Perform daily maintenance checks of machine.
Other work may be assigned at management’s discretion.
Education / Experience / Skills / Knowledge
High School or Equivalent.
Mechanical aptitude required.
Valid Driver’s License.
Crane/Forklift – in‑house training provided to obtain certification.
Proper use of safety equipment such as safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses and gloves.
Proper use of tools such as inside and outside micrometers, depth micrometer, calipers, bore gauges and other general hand tools.
