
Electrician - Per Diem Offered

Overview
Trillium Construction is now hiring Electricians in the Alamogordo, NM area. Work will take place in a commercial environment, installing solar systems on a metal roof. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm. Pay is $35/hour for unlicensed Electricians and $40/hour for licensed Electricians, with a per diem of $125/day for days worked.
Electricians will be responsible for electrical installation and supporting civil work for the project. This role will also require operating trenching equipment, and all electricians must be certified to operate mini excavators and walk-behind trenchers. Work will primarily consist of mechanical racking installation and panel placement, with exposure to basic electrical and civil scope as the project progresses.
Responsibilities
Install inverter racks, AC breakers, and disconnects for solar systems across multiple buildings
Perform trenching operations between buildings (8–10 structures) using mini excavators and walk-behind trenchers (certification required)
Run and install PVC and EMT conduit (1” EMT), including bending conduit using hand benders
Complete wire pulls and assist with cable routing throughout the system
Perform DC stringing using plug-and-play connections and assist with testing DC stringers
Execute grounding and bonding of all solar equipment and electrical systems
Terminate wiring and assist with final equipment connections and system tie-ins
Safely operate and maintain trenching and excavation equipment in active jobsite conditions
Utilize hand tools, wire strippers, and volt meters to complete electrical tasks
Coordinate with mechanical crews and site leadership to ensure proper sequencing and workflow
Electrical equipment and DC wiring installation at the initial address (2830) and transition to the second address (621) after the first project is completed
Requirements
Electrical experience
Licensed Electricians must have a valid electrical license
OSHA 10
