Missouri Walnut Group is seeking a dedicated and passionate Material Handler to become a valued team member within our operations team. This position will work closely with other operations personnel to help drive efficiency and complete the applicable tasks at hand. Bi-lingual is a plus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Loading and unloading lumber from the line.
Tracking lumber counts and inventory
Responsible for managing the production flow of lumber through the production line.
Responsible for banding and unbanding of lumber.
Perform routine inspection and routine maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects and major repairs to mechanic.
Operate small equipment and tools to maintain the equipment.
Other duties as may be assigned by the company.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to read and/or understand basic English in order to comply with safety requirements and supervisor instructions.
Must have experience in the operation and use of medium and/or heavy equipment.
Must be able to use equipment and tools to perform basic duties including cutting and measuring of items.
Must possess the ability to follow instructions.
Great work ethic
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work will be indoors, but can experience high heat and cold.
Employee is required to mount and dismount from the equipment on a regular basis in the performance of the job.
Must follow all personal protective equipment and safety requirements.
Work is in a dusty and noisy environment.
Employee will be required to frequently lift/move up 50 – 100 lbs at a time.

The noise level in the work environment is loud
