This part-time position supports an 18-year-old student at a Career Technical Education school, focusing on skilled tracheostomy care. Key Qualifications:Active Michigan RN license (candidates must provide a screenshot of their license status)Previous experience with tracheostomy care is required; confidence and proficiency with related respiratory support tasks are essentialExperience in school nursing or pediatric settings is highly desirableStrong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, administrators, and familyDependability, compassion, and a calm demeanor when responding to medical needs Responsibilities:Deliver day-to-day, individualized care to an 18-year-old student, with an emphasis on proficient trach managementMonitor and respond to the student’s medical needs during school hours (7:30–11:30 AM, Monday through Friday)Document care provided; communicate pertinent health details to parents, school staff, and health care providers as neededFoster a safe, supportive environment that enables student participation in school activitiesAct quickly and effectively during medical emergencies This is a contract role, with coverage needed as soon as possible through early June 2026.
