Responsibilities
This person will assist in the construction, assembly, maintenance, and dismantling of tubular scaffolding or other temporary structures. Other duties may be assigned.
Work at heights.
Have basic hand tools for site work.
Determine type of scaffold needed.
Transport tubular scaffold or other structural material and erect the scaffold as instructed by the scaffold builder.
Hoist scaffolding materials upward to erect temporary structure.
Secure and level locking sections of scaffolding material.
Secure scaffold to permanent structure for added stability.
Adhere to all OSHA, site specific and Austin Industrial requirements for erecting and navigating the scaffolding.
Dismantle scaffolding when instructed.
Inspect and stow scaffolding material after dismantling.
Perform final inspection of completed scaffolding.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1-2 years’ experience in scaffold building preferred.
TWIC Card required.
Strong physical ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds frequently.
Ability to walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and perform other required physical tasks.
Close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
