Furnace Operator
Location: Hodges, SC.
Shift: 2nd Shift (2:00 pm – 10:30 pm). Must be available for training on 1st Shift (Mon‑Fri 6:00 am – 2:30 pm) at $19.00 per hour, then transition to 2nd shift at $19.75 per hour.
Full‑time. Pay: $19.75 per hour. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and paid holidays.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
Operate control station to monitor and control melting station.
Analyze control signals.
Control melting operations.
Detect deviations and initiate corrective action.
Basic Qualifications
Experience in iron pouring, ladle repair, furnace charging and furnace operation.
Must have an understanding of basic gray/ductile iron charge make‑up to produce iron that meets required specifications.
Physical Requirements
Ability to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 35 pounds.
Ability to stand throughout an 8‑hour shift.
Ability to operate heavy machinery and manufacturing equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous machine shop, foundry, or manufacturing experience.
Math skills.
Solid verbal and written communication skills.
Problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
