Job Summary
Financial Analyst I – Supports the Financial Services Division at the US Marshals Service by processing financial documents, ensuring compliance, and maintaining analytical rigor.
Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen. Clearance required to obtain Public Trust. Onsite position in Austin, TX 78701.
Responsibilities
Processes financial documents and transactions from designated Districts using the Unified Financial Management System (UFMS).
Reviews accounting practices to ensure compliance with federal laws, regulations, the Single Audit Act, generally accepted Government accounting practices, and relevant budget circulars.
Identifies corrective actions for improper or illegal expenditures and accounting funds.
Reviews and analyzes annual financial statements to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, program policies, and procedures.
Demonstrates proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software and possesses general knowledge of financial statements.
Qualifications
Four-year undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
Superior attention to detail.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
Excellent interpersonal skills.
