
Maintenance Technician III - Nights

Job Description
Installs, adjusts, and repairs production equipment and special purpose machines, including equipment’s electrical supply lines and circuits, electrical/electronic controls, piping and tubing, pneumatic controls and systems, and hydraulic systems.
Inspects equipment for proper lubrication and performs general preventative maintenance duties. Learns and understands information needed for MP#2 program.
Diagnoses equipment operating problems and makes repairs, part replacements, and adjustments, making a record of change in logbooks, where applicable.
Upon diagnosis and determination refers complex situations to supervisor and higher-level mechanics.
Operates variety of hand and power tools, shop equipment and machining tools.
Welds and performs sheet metal operations as required.
Inspects equipment and tests performance of equipment following repairs.
Makes note of parts used and fills out requisitions order.
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Informed and utilizes Lock Out and Tag Out procedures.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
Minimum of three years experience in journey-level equipment maintenance
Knowledge of electrical/electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Language / Communication Skills
Basic English language skills
Mathematical Skills
Algebra and computation skills
Reasoning Ability
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions
Attention to detail and established procedures
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Journeyman in Equipment Maintenance
Physical Demands / Work Environment
Must be able to climb, bend, and stoop to inspect, repair and perform maintenance of equipment
Must be able to transport self throughout plant to equipment
Generally work in unclimatized plant environment
Travel Requirements
Ability to travel occasionally domestically.
Occasional: activity exists less than 1/3 of the time.
Frequent: activity exists 1/3 and 2/3 of the time.
