St. Peter’s First Community Church is seeking a pastor to shepherd our congregation in the town of Huntington, IN (pop. 17,000). SPFCC is a small, friendly, non-denominational, Bible-teaching church that has been in existence since 1859.
Average Sunday morning attendance is typically around 80 people with a handful more watching via the live stream. Congregants range from young families to older couples and individuals across a fairly even distribution. We practice an open communion tableand baptize/dedicate infants based on parental request. We welcome applicants regardless of race or gender. Job Summary
The Lead Pastor is responsible for the spiritual leadership, growth, and overall health of the congregation. They will shepherd the church by preaching and teaching the Word of God, collaborating in worship, pastoral care, discipleship, and community outreach. The Lead Pastor works in partnership with the Church Council and church staff to implement the church’s mission and vision while equipping members to use their gifts in service to God and others.
Qualifications
Below are the qualifications we are looking for our new pastor to meet:
A deep relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to spiritual growth
A degree in Theology, Biblical Studies, or a related field from an accredited institution
Proven experience in pastoral ministry, spiritual leadership, and community engagement
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in organizational and administrative tasks
5+ years of experience on a church staff or ministry with similar responsibilities (Preferred)

Pay: Starting at $60,000 per year, factoring in the effective value of parsonage.
Housing and utilities are provided through the parsonage at a $20,000 value ($40,000+$20,000=$60,000).
