We are currently looking for a Material Handler to join our team. The successful candidate meets safety, production, sustainability, and quality standards. The Material Handler interacts with other departments to achieve the company’s core strategies and moves products to accommodate production.

Compensation:
$17.87 hourly, $0.50 Shift Differential
Schedule:
2nd Shift – M- F, 3:00PM-11:00PM

Responsibilities
Read and understand Job Tickets and layouts to produce the correct product of the highest quality.
Understand and execute plans/schedules in an accurate and prompt manner to effectively maximize throughput.
Work closely with all Associates to coordinate the workflow.
Performance metrics must be at the average or greater for this position.
Complete required documentation accurately and promptly.
Safely operate material moving equipment.
Assist in maintaining equipment for optimal operation, including adjustments. Assist with preventative maintenance.
Correctly enter information into systems for job tracking and payroll.
Dispose of waste materials into proper storage containers. Mark and identify containers with required documentation.
Comply with established facility safety policies, procedures and other regulations (IE: GMP, HACCP, BRC) as applicable.
Interact and behave professionally. Treat all associates respectfully and professionally while maintaining the company code of ethics.
Maintain daily housekeeping efforts.
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skill and ability.
Ability to operate material handling equipment. Forklift experience preferred.
Basic math and reading skills.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Physical demands include standing, using hands to feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
Requires frequent walking.
Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Knowledge in Inventory Control and shipping/receiving activities is a plus.
