Job Details

Pay rate: $24.00 - $26.00

Schedule: 12:00pm - 8:30pm + OT as needed (Mon - Fri)

Must have at least 1 year experience operating a stand-up reach truck in the last 3 years

Responsibilities

Shipping and Receiving: Unload and load trailers and verify proper stacking and that freight is not mixed on pallets; one item to a pallet as required unless instructed otherwise. Tape or stretch-wrap pallet as required to ensure product stability.

Checking: Before storage, count all product, compare counts to the drivers’ manifest, and check shipments for damage, infestation and production code dates. Report shortages, damages and misplacements to the immediate supervisor. Move product to storage locations and stack/store the product in appropriate areas. Verify receipt of product at the correct temperature.

Over, Short, and Damage: Identify and recover any received or shipping damage per Company policy. Report all shortages and overages to the area supervisor.

Inventory: Assist in physical inventories with scanners as needed. Ensure proper stock rotation by following lot number identification.

Order Picking: Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring correct quantity and lot numbers match picking documents. Pick efficiently to meet customer service standards. Pallet heights can reach up to 7 feet.

Loading: Move product from staging or storage areas into railcars or trailers.

Equipment: Load, unload, move, stack and stage product and materials using forklift, clamp truck, slip-sheet or other power equipment. Maintain a neat and orderly work area. Perform daily inspections and verify equipment operates correctly. Report any problems to supervisor. Operate all equipment safely and efficiently following prescribed work methods.

What We Are Looking For

Education : High School Diploma or GED preferred

Experience : Previous high reach forklift and/or warehouse training

Other Abilities :

Bend and lift up to 50 lbs regularly

Lift up to 70 lbs with assistance occasionally

Stand and walk for extended periods

Use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls

Speak and hear for safety and productivity

Use scanners, tablets, radios, phones, and other warehouse equipment

Ability to lift overhead

Ability to work overtime as required

Drive a registered motor vehicle to satisfy daily requirements

Acceptable and/or corrected vision

Work in a temperature range of +34 to -10 degrees F with moderate noise

Strong interpersonal communication

Good arithmetic and reading skills

Follow verbal and written instructions and company policies

Self-starter with ability to work independently and coordinate with others

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage stress
