Assistant VDC Scanning Technician

to join our dedicated team at our headquarters in

Blue Bell, Pennsylvania .
Responsibilities

Execute high-quality laser scanning operations across various project sites, ensuring data collection aligns with safety, schedule, and quality standards.
Assist in conducting comprehensive laser scanning operations at construction and project sites, ensuring data meets project specifications.
Develop expertise in cutting-edge scanning technologies and software, with a commitment to continuous learning.
Uphold quality control protocols for scanning activities, ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and quality standards.
Operate Leica RTC 360 and continue learning operation of Leica BLK2GO, TopCon Total Station, NavVis VLX, and other scanning hardware.
Learn and provide support to Data Processing Technicians to facilitate collaboration between field data collection and data processing.
Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor\'s/Associate\'s/Technical degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
1-3 years of experience in CAD, design, scanning, construction, surveying, civil, and VDC/BIM.
Strong interest in laser scanning technology with on-the-job training opportunities.
Ability to troubleshoot data quality and scanning equipment issues.
Proactive learner with a commitment to developing proficiency in new scanning technologies and methodologies.
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced project environment.
Strong communication skills to foster effective collaboration within the team.
Physical Demands

Stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required.
Lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
Climb ladders as necessary.
Work Environment

Work in both indoor and outdoor environments with varying conditions.
Adhere to cleanroom gowning protocol as required.
Travel

Approximately 75% travel, or as required by the assigned project.
Position may be assigned to a client site for an extended period; overnight travel or staying in the client location city may be possible.
Must have access to reliable transportation and the ability to travel on a daily or regular basis.
Work schedule may require flexibility, including 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts, and weekends as needed.
Safety

This position is safety-sensitive and involves field work at client sites in construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, or research environments.
All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually, with video required.
