Junior Designer – Interiors - Atlanta Office
Archinect, Atlanta, GA, United States
Fogarty Finger (FF) is an interdisciplinary design studio of over 145 architects and designers dedicated to placemaking within the urban built environment. Founded in 2003, FF is responsible for many prominent residential and commercial projects throughout the United States with offices in New York, Atlanta, and Boston.
We believe beautiful spaces build great experiences. Our projects are equally evocative and pragmatic - designed to be enjoyed by everyone. We design for the long term and create thoughtful buildings and interiors with timeless appeal.
About the Role
FF is seeking a talented Junior Designer to join our Interiors studio in Atlanta office. We are looking for candidates with strong design skills and 3D modeling abilities for in-house design development use, client presentation, and competition across a wide range of project typologies. The right candidate possesses a good design sensibility, an eye for detail, and the ability to communicate visually. Working under the guidance of senior staff, you will contribute to projects across all phases – from early design exploration through construction documentation – building your technical foundation in a collaborative, design-forward studio environment.
What You’ll Do
Support design development across all project phases
Participate in creating compelling 3D visualizations and presentation materials for client reviews, design competitions, and internal studies
Support the preparation of drawing sets and 3D models, following FF’s documentation and BIM standards
Assist in the selection of materials and finishes under the guidance of senior staff, ensuring alignment with design intent
Contribute to the development of interior details, millwork drawings, and finish schedules
Support consultant coordination and help maintain organized, up-to-date drawing sets and project files
Assist with meeting notes, submittal logs, and project tracking, under senior staff direction
Proactively ask questions, flag issues early, and bring a solutions-oriented mindset to every task
What You Bring
A professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited institution
0–3 years of relevant professional experience at an architecture or interior design firm
Experience in high-end commercial, amenity/hospitality, and workplace interiors preferred
Strong 3D modeling and rendering skills (e.g., Rhino, SketchUp, Enscape, or V‑Ray preferred)
Proficiency in Revit preferred; familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
A good spatial sense, strong eye for detail, and clear visual communication skills
Eagerness to learn, openness to feedback, and genuine curiosity about the craft of design
Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills
Active pursuit of architectural licensure (ARE) or NCIDQ certification (preferred)
Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Why Join FF?
Fogarty Finger has never stopped growing — and neither will you. Since our founding, we've expanded steadily across New York, Atlanta, and Boston, taking on a remarkable breadth of project types along the way. As a mid‑sized firm, we blend the best aspects of large and small firm culture. Joining our New York office means genuine exposure to the full arc of design, from early concept through construction administration, across residential, commercial, workplace and hospitality work. You won't be pigeon‑holed into a single phase or project type — you'll be in the room for all of it.
Our downtown Atlanta office is home to an award‑winning, talented, diverse team that brings real energy and creative generosity to the work every day. We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package — but more than that, we offer a place where your contributions are seen, your growth is supported, and the work is worth doing.
