What you will be doing
The 2nd Shift Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and overall guest experience of guest rooms during afternoon and evening hours. This role supports the hotel’s commitment to exceptional service by ensuring all areas meet Marriott brand standards for cleanliness and appearance.
Job Duties
Clean and maintain assigned guest rooms, corridors, and public areas (lobby, restrooms, fitness center, meeting spaces, etc.)
Perform check out service, stay over service, full guest room cleaning, bathroom cleaning, bed making, linen changes, dusting, cleaning room appliances, trash removal, linen replacement, and restocking towels and amenities
Respond promptly to guest requests such as extra towels, linens, or in-room supplies
Ensure housekeeping caddy is stocked, organized, and secured
Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to Engineering or management
Communicate to inspector when rooms are ready to be inspected
Follow proper lost and found procedures for items found in guest rooms
Follow proper chemical handling and safety procedures
Maintain confidentiality and security of guest rooms and hotel property
Assist with special cleaning projects when assigned
Support front desk and operations team with quick room turnovers or priority cleaning requests
Schedule
Shifts vary based on occupancy. 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM, 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM (or similar)
Full-time hours are between 30–40 hours weekly
Weekends and holidays required based on business needs
Qualifications
Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25–50 lbs for extended periods
