Position Overview
Woodruff Scout Camp is seeking a creative, motivated
Social Media, Advertising & Marketing Intern
to help capture and share the story of Summer 2026.
Serving over 8,000 campers each summer, Woodruff is one of the largest council‑operated summer camps in the country. This internship offers hands‑on experience in
content creation, advertising, digital marketing, and brand storytelling
in a fast‑paced, real‑world environment.
If you enjoy photography, video, social media, promotion, and telling stories that matter—this is your summer.
Key Responsibilities
Capture daily camp life through
photo and video content
Create and schedule posts for
Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms
Help develop advertising and promotional content for camp programs, staff recruiting, and future camper registration
Develop engaging content highlighting program areas, staff, and camper experiences
Assist in building a
year‑round content library
(photos, reels, interviews, testimonials)
Support marketing efforts including recruitment, promotions, and special events
Collaborate with camp leadership to ensure content aligns with Woodruff’s brand and messaging
Help brainstorm and execute creative campaigns for holidays, themed weeks, staff features, and registration pushes
Required Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in
Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Media, Public Relations , or a related field
Strong interest in
social media marketing, advertising, and content creation
Basic skills in photography and/or videography
Comfortable using platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
Ability to work independently and manage time in a fast‑paced environment
Must be available for the full camp season:
May 16 – July 19, 2026
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with editing tools such as
Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut , or similar programs
Strong writing and storytelling skills
Deliverables (for stipend completion)
Curated library of high‑quality photos and video content from Summer 2026
A set number of edited social media posts/reels ready for year‑round use
Advertising and promotional materials that can be used beyond the summer season
Short summary/report of content strategy, engagement insights, and recommendations
(Specific expectations will be discussed and agreed upon at the start of the internship.)
