The Goddard School located in Pflugerville, TX is looking for an outstanding
Director
or
Assistant Director
(based on relevant experience) to join our management team. This is a potentially long-term and rewarding position with growth opportunities for the right applicant.
Prior office experience at a licensed child care center is a HUGE plus!
Compensation
The selected applicant will receive a very competitive pay package that includes the following:
Competitive base pay, depending on experience and qualifications
Available comprehensive health insurance benefits (medical, dental, and vision)
Childcare assistance for up to two children
Paid Time-Off and Holiday Pay, up to 22 days in total each year

General Qualifications
The applicant must meet the following general requirements for the job:
Ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid
Ability to see and read newsprint, with or without corrective lenses
Ability to speak and be understood under normal circumstances
Ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds
Ability to use arms, hands, legs, and feet, with or without corrective devices; this includes the ability to evacuate the building during emergencies
Ability to handle crisis situations, especially where children are involved
Ability to respond immediately to emergency situations
Previous management experience in a licensed childcare facility or experience managing faculty/staff
Educational Qualifications
The applicant must meet one or more of the following criteria regarding their education credentials:
A High School diploma or higher. Currently valid industry credentials such as a CDA, combined with prior experience in the role, highly preferred.
Additional Requirements
While this job requires you to step into the Education Director role when needed, there are a few specific skills we are looking for in the applicants.
Ability to hit the ground running. Prior experience in the role is highly preferred, but we are open to quick learners, too.
Thorough knowledge of Texas Minimum Standards for licensed childcare centers
Placing monthly orders for classroom and school supplies
Knowledge of early childhood learning curriculum
Train and mentor classroom teachers with curriculum, lesson planning and enrichment programs
Ability to handle occasional behavioral issues in classrooms
Conduct tours for families (in-person & virtual) and do lead follow ups
Plan and host marketing events and open houses to drive new enrollments
Knowledge of social media marketing
Reliable and flexible with working hours. This job does require a few evenings and weekends!
Keeping up with office paperwork (children's files etc.), working the phones and being that friendly face everyone loves to see each morning!
