Qualifications:
As set by state certification authorities
Reports to:
Principal
Supervises:
Teacher Aide and Volunteers
Job Goal:
To lead students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, social, and psychological growth.
Performance Responsibilities
Prepares for, meets, and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
Develops and maintains a classroom environment conductive to effective learning within the limits of the resources provided by the district.
Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
Evaluates student progress on a regular basis and communicates that progress to the students and the parents.
Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
Assists in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and the Board policy.
Attends and participates in professional, in-service, and faculty meetings.
Cooperates with other members of the staff in planning instructional goals, objectives, and methods.
Assists in the selection of books, equipment, and other instructional materials.
Accepts a share of responsibility for extracurricular activities as assigned.
Provides for his own professional growth through an ongoing program of reading, workshops, seminars, conferences, and/or advanced coursework at instructions of higher learning.
Plans and supervises purposeful assignments for teacher aides and/or lab assistants.
Terms of Employment:
Salary and work year as determined by the Board of Education.
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Administrative Personnel.

$50,000 Per Year
Job Requirements
Bachelor degree preferred.
Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
