The lube tech is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on vehicles brought to the dealership. This is an important job that directly contributes to the success of business operations.* Provides excellent customer service for all customers whether external or internal, specifically offering dependable vehicle service.* Performs lube oil and filter services, tire rotations, etc. in a professional manner.* Performs vehicle inspections as required.* Determines management, production and quality requirements by asking questions and listening.* Maintains equipment in good working condition and maintains the work area in a safe, clean and organized manner.* Receives service assignments from the service writer or service manager.* Has the ‘lube’ work finished within the allotted time. Set goals, develop skills and constantly increase efficiency skill level.* Maintains a clean, efficient work area and assist in keeping the shop neat and organized.* Makes sure the proper paperwork is completed and filed after every job completion.* Keep technical qualifications current by finishing any required training programs.* Takes care that the vehicle is cleaner when the job is completed than when the customer dropped it off.* Performs all duties in a safe manner, immediately reporting any accidents, injuries or unsafe conditions to management.* Shows up when scheduled to work, on time, ready and able to perform essential job functions.* Adhere to all company policies, procedures and practices.* Performs other tasks as directed.* Automotive experience helpful, but not required.
