Position Overview
One-year non‑tenure‑track Instructor (non‑renewable) for Fall 2026/Spring 2027 in Microbiology, Health Sciences and Lab, an introductory undergraduate course for allied health students at Rutgers, The State University, Piscataway/New Brunswick campus. The Department of DLS Undergraduate Instruction will fill this position.
Responsibilities
Primary teaching responsibility will be in Microbiology for the Health Sciences and Lab, a large introductory undergraduate course for students in the allied health professions. Experience teaching microbiology lecture and lab at a university level is required. Experience teaching with a class size greater than 100 students and experience in the implementation of active learning pedagogy is preferred.
Qualifications
Graduate level work in a relevant life sciences discipline.
Experience teaching microbiology lecture and lab at a university level (required).
Experience teaching large class sizes (>100 students) and active learning pedagogy (preferred).

Salary: $75,152 per annum.
