Maintenance Shift Technician
Shift technicians are multi‑crafted front‑line techs who troubleshoot breakdowns and repair facility production equipment. They work with operators and maintenance leads to address issues safely and efficiently while complying with quality and GMP standards. After troubleshooting, they shift focus toward preventive maintenance activities via work orders.
Responsibilities
Adhere to company safety and quality processes and rules.
Systematically repair, adjust and maintain processing, filling, conveying, and packaging machinery using established reliability practices.
Work effectively in a team environment.
Participate in continuous improvement, new project activities, and ongoing training.
Job Specifications / Qualifications
Education & Professional Qualifications
HS Diploma or equivalent.
Associate’s degree or equivalent in mechanical or electro‑mechanical engineering.
Technical training from an accredited school and/or military experience.
Ability to work a 12‑hour shift schedule and during nights.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Knowledge/Education
5+ years of experience maintaining mechanical systems on complex process or high‑speed production equipment.
Experience troubleshooting, testing, and repairing instrumentation devices.
Welding, machining, mechanical maintenance skills.
Electrical/Electronics installation and repair (including some explosion proof environments).
Single‑ and 3‑phase powered equipment troubleshooting, test, and repair.
AC and DC control systems troubleshooting, test, and repair.
AC variable speed and servo drives troubleshooting, replacement, programming.
Operate electronic test equipment (multimeter, meg‑ohm meter, ampere probe).
