Responsibilities

As an Outside Sales Rep, you’ll be responsible for understanding Orkin’s products and services and how to sell them to a variety of industries. You’ll make strategic recommendations to new and existing customers to help prevent pests, uphold quality and safety, and satisfy their regulatory standards. You’ll solve problems and build trusted relationships as an essential partner protecting their business. You’ll listen to needs and clearly explain practical solutions to win over customers with confidence and care.
Prioritize safety in all responsibilities
Conduct yourself with professionalism and integrity with customers and coworkers
Serve as an empathetic problem solver for commercial customers by utilizing training to recommend the best innovative overall solution for each customer’s needs
Achieve sales goals through prospecting new business and assigned leads
Utilize marketing tools to drive new business development
Conduct an interior and exterior inspection of the customer’s commercial property
Make recommendations based on inspection, address questions, explain the solution, and set expectations for their pest program
Use the provided iPad to prepare sales agreements and stay organized; training will be provided

Estimated first-year earnings: $65,000 to $110,000 USD annually
Base plus uncapped commission

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
No Experience Required; sales experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license
Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license/certification if required (company paid)
Ability to work in the field independently and interact with clients
Physical Demands / Working Conditions:
Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer’s weight capacity
Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc., including the ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Wear PPE which may require an OSHA-compliant respirator
Willing to work in different weather conditions
