
Turnarounds Technical Support Engineer

We are seeking to hire a Turnaround Site Supervisor as part of our expansion in our Turnarounds team. You’ll take the lead on the ground during critical turnaround and service activities across the EMEA region and be the key on‑site authority ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality execution of work carried out by third‑party contractors and Zeeco personnel. This role is hands‑on, customer‑facing, and central to delivering successful field projects from planning through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate turnaround activities in an onsite refinery or chemical plant environment
Oversee day‑to‑day execution of work by third‑party contractors and Zeeco field personnel
Ensure all site activities meet Zeeco’s HSE standards and client requirements
Support site surveys, preliminary visits, and scope definition
Review project‑specific contractual obligations and ensure full delivery to the client
Produce high‑quality documentation including reports, inspection findings, and RAMS
Collaborate with internal teams such as QC, Projects, and Drafting to support project delivery
Contribute to business development activities, particularly within the Benelux region
Carry out preliminary works and basic maintenance on Zeeco equipment between projects
Skills & Experience
Qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
Experience working on refineries or chemical plants
Strong mechanical understanding and familiarity with safe working practices in industrial environments
Experience in customer‑facing roles
Background in turnarounds, shutdowns, or maintenance (mechanical or electrical)
Experience with fired equipment (all OEMs) is advantageous
Welding and fabrication knowledge is beneficial
Proven leadership in field execution environments
Ability to interpret complex mechanical drawings and installations
Strong problem‑solving mindset with a bias for action
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Commercial awareness and a customer‑centric approach
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
Eagerness to learn from senior engineers and grow within a dynamic team
Self‑motivated, flexible, and resilient under pressure
Other Requirements
Willingness to travel extensively across the EMEA region, sometimes at short notice
Ability to travel for prolonged periods
Valid driving licence (essential); forklift licence (advantageous)
