Senior Student Program Coordinator of Regional Recruitment – Office of Admissions

Position Purpose
The Senior Student Program Coordinator supports the university's undergraduate admissions and outreach efforts by managing recruitment and operations among the Texas Ambassadors.
Responsibilities
Set strategic, data-driven priorities to meet recruitment goals. Develop and implement call project objectives, and assign to student employees for implementation.
Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate direct student employee reports who work in the Welcome Center, conduct tours, and participate in student outreach. In consultation with the Assistant Director over the Texas Ambassadors, oversee the planning/design of programs, activities, events, budgeting, purchasing, monitoring performance, reporting, and assessment for all activities.
Oversee group visit requests and assignments. Ensure communication with groups is accurate and timely, coordinate staffing and all other needs for group visits.
Evaluate applicants for admission and oversee the file review activities of the Recruitment team. Facilitate Recruitment's contributions to the scholarship award process.
Meet with prospective and current UT students through admissions counseling appointments. Give presentations about the university to prospective students and families. Respond to emails in the admissions inboxes, assist with phone support or other office priorities as needed.
Represent the university and support regional outreach by traveling to recruitment events, panels, meetings, and other functions in the area. Drive a personal vehicle, rental car, or university vehicle.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field. 5 years of experience in university admissions, recruitment, welcome/visitors center, or tour guide supervision. Experience assisting or counseling students. Experience using Microsoft Office and standard office equipment. Experience in preparing and conducting presentations. Experience providing customer support or service. Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; professional demeanor. Proficiency in using CRM systems and data analysis tools. Valid Texas Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in English and Spanish. More than 2 years of Admissions/Higher education/Welcome Center experience. Experience with UT Austin policies, procedures, and programs. Familiarity with the University of Texas at Austin's academic offerings and student life. Direct experience working for a competitive and highly selective institution. Advanced experience using Microsoft Office and customer databases. Ability to communicate professionally and empathetically with parents and students. Experience in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to successfully build, nurture, and balance professional relationships to achieve tasks.
Driving Required
This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).
Salary Range
$50,000
Working Conditions
Occasional evening and weekend events.
Office environment with regular travel to recruitment events.
Use of personal, rental, or university vehicles for travel.
Use of golf cart on campus.
May work in extreme temperatures.
Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
Use of manual dexterity.
