
Summer Technology Internship (Technology)

Temporary position-Position is 8 hours per day/40 hours per week from June 1, 2026 - August 10, 2026 (Start and end dates are subject to change).
The Summer Technology Intern assists the department with summer based projects across the district to prepare for the next school year. Projects include 1:1 device unboxing/setup/disbursement to the buildings, year to year maintenance of technology equipment in buildings, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Upgrading current equipment which may include (but not limited to) memory or disk upgrades
Pull and terminate data and/or audio visual cable
Installation of new equipment
Inventory and tag technology equipment
Qualifications:
An interest in technology
Ability to take notes and follow technical instructions
Applicants must be at least 17 years of age and have a high school diploma
Preference will be given to those with technology-related experience
Vacation and leaves are strongly discouraged due to the short summer schedule
Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle available to move between buildings
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, or crawl under furniture
Before an individual can work with students or have his/her name submitted for approval to the Board of School Trustees, the candidate must complete the background check authorization (at a cost of $15.00—cash or check) and the background check must receive a "cleared" rating. Additionally, the individual must complete a federal I‑9 form (providing appropriate identification documents); tax forms; a direct‑deposit form (with an attached voided check); and, view training videos at the Educational Services Center (approximately one hour in length).
