What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to staff and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security‑related concerns through appropriate channels.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verifying credentials and helping to control access in accordance with post orders and location policies.
Support law enforcement and/or site leadership during emergencies, investigations, evacuations, and other security‑related events while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
Minimum Requirements:
Have at least 1 year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
