An Automotive Service Greeter is the first point of contact in a dealership's service drive, responsible for welcoming customers warmly, managing traffic flow, and initiating the check-in process. They ensure high customer satisfaction by directing clients to advisors, documenting vehicle information, and maintaining a clean, efficient service area.
Key Responsibilities
Greeting & Customer Service:
Promptly and professionally greet customers, creating a positive first impression.
Service Drive Management:
Direct traffic flow efficiently, ensuring a safe, orderly, and clean service area.
Initial Documentation:
Record customer name, mileage, VIN, and immediate vehicle issues or damage upon arrival.
Advising Liaison:
Notify Service Advisors of customer arrivals and help prepare documents.
Vehicle Assistance:
Install protective materials (seat covers/floor mats) and assist with parking.
Typical Qualifications & Requirements
Skills:
Strong communication, an outgoing, helpful personality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
Often no experience is required; hospitality or automotive experience is a plus.
Licenses & Physical:
A valid driver's license with a clean record is usually required. Must be able to stand/walk for long periods.
Schedule:
Often requires weekdays and maybe Saturdays, full-time availability.

Positions can pay between $18–$20/hr.
