Purpose and Summary Statement
Assists in the origination, logistics, and accounting of grain activities.
Key Responsibilities
Operate a high-volume grain scale, including weighing, probing, and accurately grading inbound and outbound trucks.
Enter scale tickets into the automated grain system.
Learn and fully utilize the Grain Accounting System.
Transfer grain market knowledge to farmer customers, providing a competitive advantage.
Assist in all areas of grain origination, including providing bids, discussing markets, contracting grain from producers, and coordinating logistics as needed.
Maintain complete and accurate records in accordance with company grain policies.
Generate reports from the DPR, check‑off deductions, freight payments, liens, and customer billing.
Accurately communicate producer grain position to the Grain Accounting Department.
Take initiative to learn and understand location operations and processes.
Provide courteous, timely, and professional customer service.
Project a positive company image to customers.
Additional Duties
May be required to drive and run local errands as needed.
Address customer needs, complaints, and problem resolution.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Follow GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures as applicable.
Requirements
Associate’s degree from a two‑year college or technical school, or equivalent, and at least two years of experience in the grain business or agriculture.
Demonstrate business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.
Ability to work extended hours during busy periods.
Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
Willingness to participate in required training on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and other role‑related training.
