Education LevelHigh School Diploma/GED## DescriptionUS Heart and Vascular is in need of a Medical Assistant to join our team at Pima Heart and Vascular in Tucson, AZ to assist Provider(s) in daily operations of his/her clinic and patient care. **Responsibilities:*** Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients* Interviews patients, measures vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height and records information in patients’ charts.* Drapes patients with covering and positions instruments and equipment* Cleans and sterilizes instruments* Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials* Operates electrocardiograph (EKG), treadmill, and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests* Gives injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory tests* Screens telephone calls for physicians* Preps patients for Treadmill Stress Tests* Performs Treadmill Stress Tests as required* Returns patient phone calls* Calls in patient prescriptions* Answers triage calls* Travel required* Other related duties may be assigned**Requirements:*** Completion of a Medical Assistant program* Cardiac Experience* Knowledge in medical terminology* Ability to effectively communicate**About Tucson, AZ:**Located in PIMA county, Tucson is considered the soul of the Sonoran Desert and the flavor of the Southwest, making it a hotspot for outdoor enthusiasts.
