The Electrical Estimator will assist in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for upcoming commercial electrical projects. This role is ideal for someone who has 3+ years of commercial electrical estimating experience.
Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents
Perform quality take-offs for materials, equipment and labor
Help prepare estimates, proposals and bid packages
Maintain and update pricing, vendor lists and material cost information
Additional Essential Functions
Work with project managers, service managers, and project foreman on change orders and costs to complete estimates of ongoing projects
Communicate effectively with the general contractor, owner and/or owner's representative through negotiations
Requirements
Have an understanding of the NEC
Must have 3+ years plus of experience
Basic understanding of electrical systems and components
Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Good communication and teamwork skills
