Job Details
The Assistant Project Manager will direct and assist with management of assigned Commercial Construction projects while following organizational policies, programs, budget, and schedules to accomplish goals and objectives. This position also directs assigned projects with adherence to planning, execution, monitoring, and closing within standard project management methodology.

The ideal candidate is an up‑and‑coming project manager that can oversee multiple projects from all aspects, including design, estimating, billing, and execution.

Responsibilities

Analyze and predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources effectively and efficiently.

Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.

Recruit and manage relationships with trade partners in alignment with the company’s vision.

Analyze and understand project scope and objectives.

Review Requests for Proposals, Submitted Proposals, and Work Orders for issues, conflicts, or missing items.

Develop, manage, and maintain a detailed project schedule and workflow.

Coordinate deliveries, material staging, and storage, and troubleshoot delivery issues.

Provide support to trade partners to maintain schedule, including delivery of additional labor or small tasks when labor gaps arise.

Provide regular project updates and report to management on strategy, adjustments, and progress.

Manage relationships with trade partners, vendors, and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.

Schedule and attend required inspections and follow up on corrections as needed. Manage re‑inspection to minimize delays.

Track project costs to meet budget.

Manage and execute the change‑order process.

Requirements

3–5 years of experience in the Commercial Construction Industry in project management.

Bachelor’s degree is desired, but not required.

Experience with construction project management software (experience with Procore desired).

Demonstrated leadership abilities and above‑average written and oral communication skills, including strong negotiation skills.

Ability to work well in a team environment.

Deadline‑driven and detail‑oriented.
