Summary:
Transport patients between hospital departments and units, operating wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds to ensure patient comfort and safety.
Responsibilities:
Transport patients between departments/units, ensuring accurate patient identification and safety.
Assist in lifting, moving, and positioning patients in bed or wheelchair; provide patient information.
Clean and maintain wheelchairs, stretchers, and ensure necessary supplies such as oxygen and regulators are available.
Coordinate with other transporters to maintain smooth flow of transport operations and communicate patient information to nurses and testing departments.
Qualifications:
Positive demeanor and strong verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle stressful situations and multitask.
Customer service experience preferred.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Certifications:
CPR preferred.
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $18.00 - $21.33 (varies by experience and market data).
