Join AdventHealth Celebration as a Sterile Processing Tech. The role supports infection control standards and provides processed instruments and equipment for clinical use.
Schedule
Full time; Night shift. Occasional holidays and weekend coverage.

Job Description
Sign-on bonus: $3,000 available for eligible candidates (see terms).
Department duties include sterilization processing, instrument assembly, and coordination with hospital departments.
The Community You’ll Be Caring For
Established in 1997; hospital with 357 beds.
Service area includes Osceola, Orange, Polk and Lake Counties.
Operates as a center for clinical solutions integrating mind, body and spirit.
Responsibilities
Select appropriate materials and sterilization packaging for each instrument set; ensure aseptic technique and sterility indicators.
Operate sterilization equipment and verify parameters; document results in log books or computer systems.
Identify and segregate reusable items for decontamination, disinfection, and sterilization; select cleaning methods per manufacturer instructions.
Disassemble, inspect, assemble, and record instrument sets; participate in recall processes for sterilization failures; notify supervisors as needed.
Communicate with hospital departments; participate in training and rotate assignments across decontamination, tray assembly, sterilization, and equipment management.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; effective communication required.
Customer service orientation; proactive, courteous, and professional response to needs.
Flexibility and adaptability; ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
Medical terminology; understanding of microbiology, aseptic principles, and infection control as applied to sterile processing.
Knowledge of cross-contamination prevention and nosocomial infection precautions.
Understanding of instrument and equipment handling, assembly, disassembly, and cleaning.
Computer system proficiency (required or preferred as noted).
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
Technical/Vocational School (Preferred).
Field Of Study
Healthcare sterile processing
Work Experience
1+ related experience (Preferred).
Licenses And Certifications
CRCST or CSPDT (Required).
BLS/CPR (Preferred).

$17.11 - $27.38 per hour
