Pharmacy Technician

Position Overview
GRX Holdings, LLC is a fast‑growing, family‑oriented group of independent pharmacies. We are hiring a Full‑time Pharmacy Technician to work at our Medicap Pharmacy in Nevada, Iowa, for up to 40 hours per week. The role involves processing and filling prescriptions under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, following state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
Follow company policies and procedures, including register performance, security issues, and confidentiality.
Greet customers and answer questions.
Receive prescriptions and verify their validity.
Process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate.
Resolve issues such as rejected insurance claims.
Select the appropriate medicine, measure dosages, and fill prescriptions.
Sort, stock, label medication and monitor inventory.
Undertake administrative tasks as assigned.
Comply with all security measures and quality standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience as pharmacy technician is a plus.
Experience with an online prescription system is a plus.
Knowledge of medication and dosage measurement is a plus.
Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
Outstanding organizational skills.
Reliable with a keen eye for detail.
Compensation & Benefits
Highly competitive pay rate commensurate with experience. No nights, Sundays, or holidays, and some flexibility in scheduling. Benefits include 401(k) with company match, employee discount, and other benefits available. Full‑time positions come with Medical/Dental/Vision coverage.
Training & Certification
Pharmacy Technician experience is preferred but not required. We will provide training. This position is listed as a “Certified Pharmacy Technician.” However, we encourage applications from both certified candidates and those who do not have Pharmacy Technician experience. Compensation for non‑certified technician candidates will be considered based on experience and training.
Requirements
Pharmacy technicians must be nationally certified and registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy. Any person not currently registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy technician trainee must obtain registration prior to commencing employment in an Iowa pharmacy.
