Requirements to apply
Active RN license in Connecticut or compact state
BLS certification (AHA) required
3–5 years of clinical nursing experience
Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
Charge nurse or preceptor experience required
Experience in acute care, stepdown, or progressive care settings
BSN preferred
Full-time evening leadership role (2:30p–11p, M–F) supporting operations and patient care within a high‑acuity Stepdown Unit.
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to support daily operations within a Stepdown Unit caring for medically complex patients requiring close monitoring. This role partners closely with the Nurse Manager to oversee staffing, scheduling, onboarding, and staff development while ensuring high‑quality, evidence‑based care. The ANM serves as a clinical and operational leader during evening shifts, supporting nursing staff, optimizing patient flow, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards. Ideal candidates bring strong leadership, acute care expertise, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes in a fast‑paced environment.
