Midwife – Advanced Practice Provider

Rush Copley Medical Center, Aurora, IL, part of the Rush University System for Health network of hospitals, invites applications for the position of Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM). CNMs practice independently and provide annual and acute gynecologic visits for Rush Copley OB/Gyn.

Duties & Responsibilities

Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts

Hours vary between 9am-7pm

Rotating weekday and weekend call (one weekday and every fourth weekend)

Report directly to the Rush Copley OB/Gyn Practice Manager

100% outpatient

Preferred Qualifications

Applicants with previous experience in Midwifery, women’s health and/or Labor & Delivery is preferred. Relevant RN experience may be considered.

Position Requirements

Current licensure from the State of Illinois as an Advanced Practice Registered Professional Nurse

Current certification by AMCB

Master of Science in Nursing with clinical specialty appropriate to position

Maintains State of Illinois and Federal DEA license

Must maintain Copley Memorial Hospital clinical privileges, if applicable

Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience with 2 years of experience in area of clinical specialty

CPR and NRP certification

Excellent communication skills

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Additional compensation may include premium pay rates, sign-on bonuses, and relocation allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Pay Range: $110,000 - $166,000
