Overview
Seeking a PET/CT Technologist to support the Plano West Cancer Center. This role may be Level 1, Level 2, or Senior based on experience. Applicants will work under general supervision, supporting diagnostic PET imaging procedures and related functions.

Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic PET imaging procedures including injection of radiopharmaceuticals and/or IV contrast, oral contrast administration, protocol setup, patient positioning, reconstruction, and filming.
Transfer images to network and archive image data.
Assist in procedure scheduling and front office functions to maintain workflow.
Ensure accuracy of patient demographic information, report distribution, and file contents.
Collect clinical data for patient follow-up and contribute to teaching and educational materials.
Provide protection for patients and self in accordance with safety standards and perform daily quality control to monitor scanner performance.
Report malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate company or facility.
Manage patient data and films, including printing, archiving, retrieval, network transfers, tracking and logging of loaned and requested outside films.
Understand contraindications for IV contrast and recognize possible reactions, executing appropriate procedures when reactions occur.
Order necessary office, medical, printing, and archiving media.
Qualifications
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology from an AMA accredited program, plus PET-CT certification.
Minimum 3-5 years experience in nuclear medicine and/or prior PET experience preferred.
General knowledge of patient scheduling and billing systems.
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) and/or ARRT (N) certification with state licensure where applicable.
For Level 2: Minimum 5 years nuclear medicine experience, at least 2 years previous PET or nuclear medicine experience.
For Level Sr: Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology from an AMA accredited program, minimum 4 years nuclear medical PET experience.
