Senior iOS Engineer – Connectivity Team
We are looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to join our Connectivity team to collaboratively architect, design and develop lower-level functionality for the Oura iOS app. This team works closely together with the Firmware and App Feature teams in the very essential interface between hardware and software. The responsibilities of the Connectivity team include - but are not limited to - developing our Bluetooth layer to enable efficient and secure communication between Oura ring and application along with implementing support for next generation products and maintaining the app‑ring connectivity between millions of devices on the field. We care deeply about maintaining and upgrading our code base so that it is at the forefront of technology, and actively work to get rid of legacy implementations.
What you will do:
Architect, design and build new features in the Connectivity team
Collaborate closely with our Firmware and Platform teams
Ensure consistency across our apps
Keep an eye on where iOS development is going and actively prototype and try out new frameworks and ways of working that improve our productivity
Work with us to develop systems to ensure we provide performant, maintainable apps and improve the developer experience as we scale
Ideal qualifications:
5+ years of professional development experience shipping iOS apps.
Strong experience with Swift and UIKit, modern iOS app architectures, and common third‑party libraries and frameworks.
Experience working with iOS CoreBluetooth and knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy
Experience with collaborative development on complex shared codebases.
Proficiency with Git, branching, and standard code review workflows.
A focus on quality through unit tests and manual testing.
Ability to convert ambiguous problems into solutions that can be implemented and shipped under your technical leadership
Additional preferred technologies:
Experience with any of the following iOS technologies: Swift structured concurrency, Combine, SQLite/GRDB, CoreAnimation, CoreGraphics, PyTorch.
Experience working asynchronously across countries and time zones.
Experience with health, wellness, or fitness products.
Strong systems architecture and performance optimization experience.
Deep computer science fundamentals and design patterns knowledge
Contributions to open‑source projects or an impressive personal portfolio

Region 2: $158,000 - $187,000
