Role Overview
We are looking for a dependable person with handyman/carpenter skills that can complete various repair and maintenance tasks on our projects. Home repair & finishing job duties include painting, patching drywall, installing lvp flooring, carpentry, roofing repairs, siding repairs, basic prep & detail, and punch list repairs of newly installed pre-fabricated homes. Responsibilities may also involve solving basic electrical and plumbing issues. Previous experience working as an electrician, plumber, or carpenter is a plus.
Duties & Responsiblities
Prep and detail work to prepare newly built homes for turnover to clients
Warranty repairs and investigations to determine root cause
Drywall patching, texturing and painting as needed
Help with tile or flooring installation
Assist with trim carpentry or exterior siding
Perform basic electrical and plumbing maintenance & installation (non-licensed work)
Perform basic trenching and grading as needed
Use of field-based applications for documenting and logging work performed
Requirements & Qualifications
5+ years of experience working in home improvement
High school diploma or GED certificate preferred (but not required)
Clean driving record (required to drive company vehicle)
Willingness to commute to various locations throughout the Bay Area; may include some travel to Southern California
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
Ability to work in confined spaces or at heights when necessary
Experience using basic hand and power tools
Basic wood framing knowledge required
Roofing experience is a plus
Interior and exterior door adjustment knowledge along with an understanding of flashing
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision
Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate effectively
$30 - $40 an hour
