*Medical Assistant Positions - FPG Silverstein Institute / Head & Neck Surgery -

We are currently hiring Medical Assistants for our FPG Silverstein Institute & Head and Neck Surgery offices. These medical offices offer medical and surgical treatment for ear, nose, throat, head and neck conditions for both adult and pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

Preparing patients for exams and procedures

Escorting patients to exam rooms

Taking vitals

Recording medical histories and current concerns

Documenting provider notes, procedures and patient instructions

Requirements

Current certification as a

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

by one of the following agencies:

American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)

National Healthcare Association (NHA)

National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

OR certification as a

Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)

by one of the following agencies:

American Medical Technologists (AMT)

Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)

National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)

Or a certified EMT

Experienced medical assistants with one to two years of experience, and either a certification from a certifying agency not listed above or no certification, are required to register with an accepted agency for MA Certification and schedule a test date within six months of hire. Certification must be received and presented to HR within twelve months of hire.

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate. A copy of the diploma or GED, or transcripts showing date of completion, must be provided before starting.

Basic Life Support/CPR certification (BLS). Must be obtained within thirty days of hire/transfer date. Acceptable BLS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Work schedule: Monday to Friday, day shift (between 7:45 AM and 5:00 PM). 8‑hour shifts. No weekends or holidays.
