Industrial Maintenance Technicians ensure optimal efficiency by performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, with safety and quality standards a top priority. They must possess a technical mindset and demonstrate strong mechanical capabilities, while remaining flexible and adaptable as job assignments rotate across various bakery areas. Technicians must be eager to pursue ongoing training to keep pace with evolving technology and performance standards. The role requires climbing fixed and portable ladders to a height of twenty feet, stooping and bending while lifting weights up to fifty pounds, and climbing onto and crawling under machinery as required.
Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Demonstrate safe work habits, proper tool selection and usage, general shop practices, maintenance tasks, and general knowledge of support equipment
Perform proper component lubrication and conduct preventive maintenance on specific equipment
Identify mechanical wear, troubleshoot, and replace mechanical drive and conveyor components
Use SAP software for parts checkout, reporting, and general data entry
Practice learned knowledge of environmental and maintenance programs
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Practice and comply with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
Perform other duties deemed integral to the job, including fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures
Possess or attain licenses required by municipal, county/ward, or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components, and other job-related equipment
Knead to Know: Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience as a technician
Experience in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, welding, electrical, industrial equipment, automotive repairs, or a related field
Additional Ingredients: Essential Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent, Technical/Trade School certification or diploma a plus
Salary Range – $31.46 per hour
